Overview:
Senior Executive Director - Multi-Site

The Senior Executive Director is responsible for strategic leadership and overall direction of hospice services in an assigned geographic territory. This role oversees the employment and performance of hospice personnel, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care that complies with federal and state regulations. The Senior Executive Director develops and implements standards of care and evaluates the organization's performance against established goals and objectives, contributing to the organization's success and adherence to its philosophy.

Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Oversight: Lead operational planning and budgeting to ensure financial stability and growth.

2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, maintaining ethical practices.

3. Financial Management: Monitor operations for financial stability through effective resource allocation.

4. Quality Assurance: Evaluate services and staff performance using measurable outcomes for continuous improvement.

5. Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts and complaints professionally.

6. Communication & Integration: Establish communication channels and integrate technology across departments.

7. Staff Development: Oversee personnel development, including training, continuing education, and competency testing.

8. Interdisciplinary Care: Promote collaboration among clinical and supportive services for comprehensive care.

9. Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance and achieve desired outcomes.

10. Operational Leadership: Direct staff in patient care duties, including admissions, discharges, and service provision.

11. Service Utilization: Monitor care delivery and manage services provided by external agencies.

12. Data Management & Reporting: Collect data and provide comprehensive reports to the Governing Body.

13. Resource Management: Ensure adequate space, equipment, and supplies are available for operations.

14. Ethical Standards: Uphold ethical business and clinical practices in line with the organization's mission.

15. Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with agencies and vendors to align services with organizational goals.

16. Monthly Operating Review: Drive monthly operating results with branch leadership and present operating outcomes monthly in branch MOR meetings.

17. Operational Outcomes: Collaborate with leaders to understand and accomplish operating KPI's.

Qualifications:
1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study. A master's degree is desired but not required.

2. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare management, with a strong background in hospice care. Proven ability to lead, supervise, and direct personnel.

3. Business Management Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of corporate business management, including financial management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance.

4. Interdisciplinary Group Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of hospice care and services provided to patients and families through an interdisciplinary group.

5. Medicare Hospice Certification: Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification and its application in the delivery of hospice services.

6. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the community, staff, and governing bodies, demonstrating tact and professionalism.

7. Leadership and Strategic Vision: Demonstrated leadership skills with a strategic vision for driving organizational growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
