Overview

The Business Analyst, Sales & Marketing is an Information Technology (IT) professional who partners with leaders in the Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations and Customer Service departments to provide a balance of operational support and project / implementation work. They will engage their stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize work effort and manage projects focused on marketing, lead generation, sales force automation, and quote-to-order processes. They will support our family of applications including Sales Cloud, CPQ, Service Cloud, Pardot and Servicemax as well as website and EDI strategies.

The Business Analyst, Sales & Marketing will perform a variety of critical tasks to support IT operations including troubleshooting system issues, analyzing, designing and implementing system changes as well as maintaining their knowledge of the latest vendor releases and understanding how those changes affect our company's own implementations. This role reports to the Manager, Sales & Marketing Applications.


Responsibilities

The Business Analyst, Sales & Marketing will oversee all technical activities required to support the Sales & Marketing systems within the company:

  • Analyze data and draw business insights.
  • Understand and document business processes.
  • Develop and define roadmaps to help guide the company's application strategies.
  • Manage Sales & Marketing technology projects.
  • Elicit and document requirements for system and process enhancements.
  • Manage documentation for Sales & Marketing systems and processes.
  • Troubleshoot helpdesk tickets and diagnose problems
  • Communicate with managers, IT team members, stakeholders and vendors.
  • Manage testing for change requests and vendor releases.
  • Create user training materials and coordinate end user training.

Knowledge
The Business Analyst, Sales & Marketing must have knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Evaluating, selecting and implementing IT systems
  • A strong understanding of the platform including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and AppExchange. Experience in supporting Servicemax or Salesforce Field Service is a plus.
  • Experience with website technology or EDI processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience within the manufacturing and distribution industry is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a role involving evaluating, analyzing or supporting CRM systems in conjunction with sales & marketing processes. Experience with system integration design is a plus.
  • Experience with software implementation projects
  • Strong time management, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
