Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst for our Commercial organization, reporting to the Director of Finance. This is a unique opportunity within the organization to be part of a highly visible and influential commercial finance team, with ample room to make a meaningful and immediate impact.

This position will serve as a financial partner and advisor to the leaders of the Global Commercial organization by supporting our Surgical Pain and Game Ready businesses, driving profitable growth by providing proactive and insightful analysis, offering forward thinking recommendations, as well as supporting and counseling in the development and implementation of business strategies and objectives.

The Business Analyst will be a key member of the cross-functional team responsible for business and operations analysis, financial planning and reporting, and other financial, strategic, and tactical services. They will have full vertical P&L ownership of the global Surgical Pain and Game Ready P&Ls from net sales down to operating profit, and will be tasked with driving visibility, understanding, and actionable insights to these P&Ls to drive BU results. This includes presenting financial information in business reviews with senior executives and taking an active role in the ongoing management of the Surgical Pain and Game Ready organizations to facilitate sound decisions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide financial advice and counsel on all pertinent commercial matters to the Surgical Pain and Game Ready BUs by supplying ongoing, timely, and meaningful financial analysis, both routine and as needed, related to revenues, expenses, and profitability
  • Effectively communicate financial performance across the organization
  • Support month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate results
  • Lead the quarterly forecast, annual budget, and long-range plan process for the Surgical Pain and Game Ready businesses, with a focus on ground up forecasting and collaborating with key stakeholders to review, challenge, and align on assumptions and outcome
  • Collaborate with the Product Supply team to analyze gross margins
  • Enhance operating expense visibility and bring accountability to spending activities with budget owners
  • Partner with the Sales and Marketing teams to build decision models and pro-formas for business cases to help articulate financial value and constraints for projects
  • Partner with the Commercial Operations team to develop sales quotas
  • Work with the Director to evaluate internal and external strategic opportunities
  • Assist and lead special ad hoc projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or analysis role
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or other related field
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks, work under strict deadlines, and prioritize effectively to complete requests in a timely manner
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills to deliver effective, confident, and results-oriented communications and presentations, including to senior executives
  • Broad understanding of finance, economics, business management, business/strategic planning
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to build financial models, reports, tools
  • Self-starter/ ability to work independently
Preferred:
  • MBA
  • SAP, BPC, and Power BI experience
  • Prior knowledge, exposure, or general interest in medical device industry
