Job Title: SAP EWM Technical Consultant
Location: Warsaw, Indiana
Position Overview:
The SAP EWM Technical Consultant will play a crucial role in translating product strategy and requirements into scalable and maintainable solution designs. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP EWM and ABAP, with a focus on communication techniques with external systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP EWM technical and functional areas, and will be able to provide high-quality, on-time delivery of solutions that meet business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design: Translate product strategy and requirements into suitable, maintainable, and scalable solution designs according to existing architecture guidelines.
Holistic Understanding: Maintain a holistic view of how the solution adds value and ties into the defined business outcomes.
Innovation and Experimentation: Use an experimental mindset to identify, evaluate, and recommend alternative design options considering the target environment, performance, security requirements, and existing systems.
Quality and Delivery: Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions, considering performance guidelines and code quality standards.
Documentation: Develop technical documents that accurately represent application design and code, ensuring clear communication and documentation of solutions.
Feature Enhancement: Evaluate existing applications to add new features, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization.
Leadership and Agile Methodology: Lead specific development topics and participate in agile ceremonies to ensure collaborative and effective team performance.
Requirements:
Experience: 7+ years of experience in EWM ABAP with a focus on various communication techniques with external systems, including IDocs, web services, ABAP proxies, APIs, etc.
SAP EWM Expertise: Strong working experience in SAP EWM technical and functional areas, with a solid understanding of warehouse processes and logistics execution.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in OOPS ABAP, PPF, Monitor Functions, and service provider class framework.
Quality Focus: Good understanding of quality tools and processes, including performance tuning in SAP EWM.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data and its implications to various stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
Innovation: Strong orientation towards innovation and process improvements, with a willingness to engage in continuous learning and self-improvement efforts.
Independence: A strong motivation to work in an environment that allows for independent work and decision-making.
Integration Experience: Experience working with development and integrations towards external Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) is preferred.
