The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Urology is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained faculty member specializing in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery(URPS) to join our well-established Emory Urology faculty practice based in Atlanta, GA.
The Department of Urology seeks to add urologist(s) with academic appointments as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor to a growing urology practice. The practice currently serves the Emory Healthcare System, Georgia's most comprehensive academic medical center, as well as affiliated health systems. The Department's general and sub-specialized urologists enjoy a large internal referral base from within the Emory network as well as across Georgia and neighboring states. This position may be based at Emory University Hospital - Midtown and have concurrent roles at an affiliate location such as Grady Memorial Hospital, with potential concurrent roles or the Atlanta VAMC. Eligible candidates will also have the opportunity to assume urology leadership roles at Grady Memorial Hospital, a Level I trauma center in Atlanta.
The successful faculty candidate will maintain a productive clinical portfolio and develop a clinical practice complemented by patient-oriented, health services and/or health policy research. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Candidates may start as early as the academic year.
General Qualifications:
Board-certified/eligible urologist who must have completed an ACGME-accredited Urology residency
Fellowship trained in Female Pelvic Medicine Reconstructive Surgery
Must hold, or be able to obtain, a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
Must possess a controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.
