Job description
The Director of Product Marketing, Consumer Disposal is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives for KBB ICO, Trade in Complete/KBB Will Buy Your Car and Private Seller Exchange aimed at vehicle acquisition opportunities for automotive retailers. This role is crucial for driving measurable business results, including new client acquisition, client retention, and market awareness of new and enhanced acquisition/disposal products.
Key responsibility will be to effectively communicate how Cox Automotive is enabling multiple paths for retailers to acquire vehicles through a unified GTM approach. This will be done in collaboration with operations, product, strategy and sales partners to ensure alignment and favorable outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Vehicle Acquisition product marketing team, focusing on strategy, deployment, and optimization across all audience channels.
- Collaborate with product, readiness and business strategy to ensure alignment on the level of importance for each disposal/acquisition channel to prioritize marketing efforts accordingly
- Design, build, and lead a team of product marketing professionals, setting clear goals and key results, ensuring communication and progress sharing across the division.
- Establish areas of excellence within product marketing, including segmentation, personas, workflows, GTM launches, KPIs, and voice of the client to support current and new product launches.
- Work with RMOps to develop demand generation to execute targeted marketing campaigns aimed at specific customer segments, driving leads to the sales funnel.
- Build email campaigns for all dealer sales segments to increase demand and retailer engagement with Cox Automotive products, offerings, and insights.
- Develop Sales Enablement collateral that informs the sales teams of key claims, metrics and product capabilities that can be leveraged during strategic discussions with retailers
- Partner with the Sales Business Office team on training initiatives to increase overall knowledge and product acumen
- Lead proactive communication strategy to increase awareness and engagement with KBB vehicle acquisition content and subsequent products.
- Support the launch of new dealer and enterprise group products with comprehensive marketing launch plans.
- Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to identify new market opportunities and drive growth.
- Develop core marketing materials and sales tools to communicate the value proposition of products, solutions, and services.
- Working with RMOps support the creation of a product marketing playbook to optimize onboarding of new clients
- Standardize processes, templates, and ways of working to drive scale, consistency, and quality of product marketing deliverables.
- Lead agency partners by clearly articulating objectives, goals, and expectations for each project or campaign to the agency team.
- Provide comprehensive briefs that outline the target audience, messaging, brand guidelines, and desired outcomes.
- Foster open and transparent communication channels, encouraging regular updates, feedback, and dialogue throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively address any concerns or issues that arise, working collaboratively with the agency to find solutions and maintain project momentum.
- Encourage creative brainstorming sessions and idea-sharing to generate innovative campaign concepts and strategies.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on creative work, highlighting what resonates and areas for improvement.
- Manage a team of product marketers and be intentional on their professional growth opportunities
- Develops core relationships with cross-functional teams to lead development of collaborative approach to campaign deployment
- Engages key internal stakeholders (executives, functional leaders) to gain required approvals and ensure business alignment across Media.

Who You Are/Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 10 years of experience in Marketing, preferably in a mid- to large-size corporation. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years of experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field with no degree.
- 5+ years' experience in a senior marketing leadership and/or people management role with experience developing, coaching and motivating future marketing leaders
- Experience with B2B Marketing for a company with a portfolio of products/ services
- Strong analytical skillset.
- Ability to manage and prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and other key stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Experience planning and overseeing a multi-million-dollar marketing budget.
- Travel: 25%
Preferred:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or other related field; MBA or graduate degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge of automotive industry
- Workload may demand working extended hours as necessary

USD 129 100.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $129,100.00 - $215,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
