Job Description:

As a GIS IT Support Specialist, you will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical support requests for Esri ArcGIS end users. Your responsibilities will include handling support requests related to ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap 10.6.1/ArcPro 3.1, Esri Roads and Highways), Enterprise applications (Client custom, Esri Web/Experience Builder, Esri Enterprise Portal applications), cloud products (ArcGIS Online, Site Scan), and mobile products (Field Maps). You will review and triage submitted support tickets, contact users to clarify issues, isolate and replicate problems, and either resolve or escalate issues. Additionally, you will provide user instruction, assist GIS/IT Teams with solutions and documentation, and develop and conduct training programs for the Client GIS User Group.

Key responsibilities include:

Act as the first line of GIS technical support for the Client.

Validate the operation of virtual ArcGIS Desktop environments and enterprise GIS applications.

Provide excellent customer service, follow-up, and follow-through to address customer concerns or needs, acting as a customer liaison.

Escalate technical issues and coordinate with IT staff to resolve problems and provide solutions, consulting with Esri support as needed.

Instruct customers in using Esri ArcGIS solutions and supported applications, enabling customers to be more productive with GIS.

Assist the team with GIS upgrades, projects, and provide on-call support as needed.

Develop, update, or maintain system/technical documentation as needed.

Develop Client GIS User Group resources and assist in creating training materials.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Experience with Esri ArcGIS end-user support.

Proficiency in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

Ability to review and triage support tickets, clarify issues, and either resolve or escalate them.

Strong customer service skills, with follow-up and follow-through.

Knowledge of ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap 10.6.1/ArcPro 3.1, Esri Roads and Highways), Enterprise applications, cloud products, and mobile products.

Ability to instruct customers and enable productivity with GIS solutions.

Experience in developing and maintaining system/technical documentation.

Capacity to work a hybrid schedule and local to Atlanta, GA.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $20.00 to $40.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
