Summary: Responsible for leading the Internet Sales Department. The Internet Manager is responsible for operations, sales performance results, employee supervision, and customer satisfaction in the Internet Sales Department.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for improving sales and operations in the Internet Sales Department
  • Works with upper management and Human Resources on hiring and discipline decisions
  • Assists Internet Sales team with processing of completing sales.
  • Trains and supervises Internet Sales team
  • Develops promotions to motivate internet sales team
  • Sets schedules for internet sales team
  • Interacts with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversees the preparation of direct marketing materials for prospective customers
  • Maintains the center's Website
  • Handles incoming calls and directs them to the appropriate manager
  • Attends required manager meetings
  • Works closely with department managers to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Follows up with "shoppers" through telephone, mailings and electronic media prior to purchase
  • Follows up with customers through telephone, mailings and electronic media after purchase
  • Follows up with customers through telephone and mailings after service
  • Answers incoming e-mails by responding to customers via electronic media
  • Generates customer follow-up letters
  • Maintains effective employee relations
  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards
  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Participates in required training
  • Records all hours worked accurately in company timekeeping system
  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values
  • Complies with Company policies and procedures
  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Excellent sales skills, prior management or supervisory experience desired. Working knowledge of automotive sales industry.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid Driver's License

o Automobile Salesperson License

Computer Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Advanced ability and knowledge of the Dealership Management System and web based applications.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company

personnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the dealership but mainly in the Internet Department. Work involves continual contact and interaction with customers and dealership personnel. Work includes movement around dealership facilities. Due to the nature of this position, employee may be exposed to various work environments.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
