The Manager of Revenue Cycle Applications leads a team of Emory Digital analyst with a common goal of supporting the organizations revenue cycle solutions particularly within Health Information Management (HIM).
This position must also provide effective resource management to the Digital HIM Team including coaching and educational direction. The position performs essential planning, operational and administrative duties in support of the department and organizational use of the Revenue Cycle solutions. This includes maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all Revenue Cycle solutions and supporting implementation, development and upgrade requirements.
Candidates with the following experience are highly preferred:
Health Information Management (HIM) experience
Managerial/Leadership Experience managing IT teams or Epic Support Teams supporting modules (ROI (release of information), Coding and CDI, Patient Identity

Description:
Strong project management skills, personal initiative, sound judgment, and good problem solving are fundamental to this position.
Maintains a comprehensive understanding of Emory's Revenue Cycle applications and their integrations to ensure support of modifications, new functionality and new systems.
Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development and support of all Revenue Cycle systems and components.
Review revenue cycle systems and component performance objectives to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and security requirements and ensure compliance to Meaningful Use standards, HIPAA, etc.
Provide direct oversight for staff and assist them in managing performance and productivity measurements.
Supports resource management efforts such as hiring and separation, performance evaluations, coaching and counseling, wage and salary administration, employee orientation and training.
Continuously evaluate the team structure and skill sets to ensure it aligns with business process, tactical planning and strategic vision.
Establish effective working relationships with all relevant vendors coordinating contract management, knowledge transfer, support services, and strategic planning and maintains vendor performance report cards, to consistently measure vendor contribution and solution effectiveness.
Develop and maintain executive relationships within vendor corporations to support defined escalation procedures
Promote the highest level of customer service expectations throughout the health system by anticipating and responding to the health information technology needs of IT customers.
Develop partnerships with executives, faculty, and staff on ongoing customer and service delivery programs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent, plus 4 years experience in health care information technology including project management, personnel management, and application production support.
Must have experience managing complex revenue cycle.
Previous leadership experience required.
Knowledge and experience of clinical processes and functions.
Experience in a healthcare or academic medical center environment highly preferred.
Experience with system design, development and optimization from business requirements through day-to-day management.
Proven record of effectively communicating at all organizational levels, understanding the institutions business, missions and goals, and translating those goals into information technology initiatives.
Experience managing and working knowledge of a variety of platforms and of system deployment in a heterogeneous environment with a clear vision of how to use information technology to improve productivity, performance and delivery of service.
Experience managing large projects.
