ADM, an Akima Company is seeking a Marketing and Communications Marketing Specialist to support a public health service organization. Apply today! Responsibilities Coordinates production of materials and dissemination through various media outlets
Recommends channels and media formats
Develops Web content for dissemination in mechanisms including but not limited to CDC.gov homepage features, daily widgets, Facebook, Twitter, and various public health blogs
Sends PCD media and social media content to the appropriate offices for clearance
Edits and proofreads articles and collateral materials in HTML and PDF formats
Provides analytic support to Journal's Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor, Editorial Board, and stakeholders by gathering data, formulating reports, and conducting analysis of Web traffic and readership metrics
Coordinates the development and presentation of printed, electronic, and audiovisual materials for technical and lay audiences, scientific journals, and Internet and other mass-media outlets
Prepares presentation materials (e.g., talking points, PowerPoint slides) for meetings, site visits, etc.
Collects information and contact information on potential submission topics, outreach, and other initiatives and passes along information to Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief for further action
Develops and produces publicity materials such as annual reports, eBooks, posters, exhibit displays, and brochures
Ensures that documents conform to agency policies, branding, and style
Supports research and/or evaluation activities related to health communication and marketing. This may include collecting metrics through readership survey using CDC web-based tracking systems such as Omniture
Coordinates outreach activities and reports on the latest communications trends, resources, and tools for PCD to reach new audiences and use new methods of disseminating its content
Reports the results of research and evaluation activities to appropriate stakeholders in formal and informal presentations and documents
Attends, on site, bi-weekly meetings (in person) to report on the progress of tasks, issues and solutions
Coordinates marketing activities for one or more markets, brands, or product/category lines
Implements multi-channel marketing plans meant to promote the organization and its products or services
Designs campaigns targeting specific market segments or focusing on specific products or product lines
Assists in the production of print, online, or other forms of advertisement, and assists with special events or promotions
Collects data measuring the viability of new markets and assists in the creation of market development plans
Measures and analyzes campaign results to determine ROI
Performs work under general supervision
Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years relevant experience
Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Experience in media and health communications required
Knowledge of CDC clearance procedures for media communications preferred
Experience with Omniture, VOCUS, Altmetric, and other media analytic metrics preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
