Wheels Up is looking for a world-class Network Engineer to join our team of dedicated and passionate professionals, fueled by the most powerful brand in private aviation, as we continue our mission of democratizing the private aviation space through cutting-edge technology and innovative product and service offerings.
This Network Engineer will manage and maintain our company's enterprise network. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff and handling advanced support issues. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our network, the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of network issues.
Responsibilities:
To ensure success as a Network Engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks and advanced project management skills. A Top-class Network Engineer ensures the networking team performs as a cohesive unit, maintaining the stability and performance of the network. Systems Engineer experienced is required in this role as well.
Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.
Installing and configuring networking hardware.
Creating and implementing network security measures.
Managing and mentoring junior Network Engineering staff.
Conducting regular network performance tests.
Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior staff.
Dealing with escalated network support issues.
Drawing up network status reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (CCNA & CCNP) or relevant work experience
Previous work experience as a Networking Engineer with Meraki equipment
Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Meraki & Cisco
Knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, cabling, routers, switched, firewalls, AP's, cameras, printers & etc.
Familiarity with communication and routing protocols, WAN, LAN & VLAN
Familiarity with network analysis tools
Proficiency with coding languages is a plus, make us aware of what you know
Systems Administration experience is required, Microsoft Stack/House
Azure AAD, Cloud Microsoft Office & 365 Suite experience preferred
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
High level problem-solving and communication skills

Salary Range
The wage range for this position is determined on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, such as differences in skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. This wage range has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with where the position may be filled. At Wheels Up, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Your placement within the wage range is primarily based on your qualifications and experience.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
