Maverick Search Partners is a dynamic and growing organization with a commitment to providing exceptional services to our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client.s team to cover a medical leave of absence.

Responsibilities Include:

• Process payroll for approximately 250 employees across multiple states, including Canadian payroll.


• Ensure accurate and timely processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls using Paylocity.


• Maintain employee payroll records, including W-2s, 1099s, and other required tax forms.


• Calculate and process federal, state, and local taxes, including FICA, Medicare, and unemployment taxes.


• Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.


• Resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.


• Stay up-to-date on payroll regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.


• Proficiency in Paylocity or other payroll software.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
