We are recruiting for a Psychiatrist. The Psychiatrist is a member of the clinic's multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to deliver patient-centered care with a focus on holistic wellness. This physician will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers in an integrated healthcare model. Additionally, this role is providing guidance and support for the behavioral health team, including programmatic development focused on outcomes.

Our team of primary and specialty care providers along with our behavioral health clinicians work in collaboration with patients and caregivers to address both the body and mind. This care may address behavioral health and substance misuse conditions, health behaviors, stress-related symptoms, or the impact of behavioral health on chronic medical conditions.

Our practice includes primary and chronic disease management with a particular focus on individuals living with HIV and transgender care.

About the Role:

Clinical assessment and diagnosis
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions
Utilize evidence based diagnostic tools and criteria
Treatment Planning and Implementation
Develop individualized treatment plans, incorporating medication management, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Medication management
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications ensuring appropriate use and monitoring for side effects
Collaboration and Coordination
Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to include Primary Care Providers, Infectious Disease and HIV Care Providers, Social Workers, Care Managers, Pharmacists, and other allied professional staff.
Develop comprehensive individualized care plans through shared decision making
Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings
Patient Education and Support
Provide education to patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
Consultations and treatment referrals focused on improving behavioral health outcomes
Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Completion of supporting documentation for patients
Supervision of the behavioral health team to include programmatic development and evaluating appropriate outcome measures and KPIs.

About You:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with specialization in Psychiatry
Active Georgia license to practice Psychiatry
Board certified in Psychiatry
Active DEA registration
BLS certification
Experience in an integrated healthcare setting preferred
Experience in a psychiatric setting and 2-3 years of psychiatric prescribing practice
Understanding of integrated care models and experience with multidisciplinary treatment approaches
Must be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with constant collaboration within and across provider teams
Innovative and creative and innovative self-starter to help solve patient's problems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Effectively adapt and respond to a complex, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment
Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment and treatment
