Job Overview:
As a Senior Construction Accountant, you are responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions for our Cortland Build department. Here are the roles you'll play:
Roles You Will Play:
The Right Hand
Daily cash flow management
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Assist with preparing financial statements monthly and report on variances, financial and tax audits, and corporate reporting requirements
Support with documentation and monitoring of internal controls

Building Blocks of Success:
Stellar 3+ years of experience in accounting; CPA a plus, experience in corporate accounting preferred
Bachelor's or higher degree in accounting or finance
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookups and PivotTables)
