Responsibilities/Qualifications

Intrado is looking to hire a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Finance team.

Reporting directly to the Director of FP&A, this role will lead the design and implementation of the quote to order process from end-to-end. This role will be central to governing the pricing process and enforcing the pricing policies set forth by Product, Sales, and Finance as well as ensuring that our products and solutions are positioned effectively in the market. The Senior Pricing Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, finance, technology, operations, and legal, to create and implement systems, policies, and processes that not only enhance revenue and profitability but also support the company's growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our entire quote to order process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Pricing Development:
  • In collaboration with Product Management functional leaders, design and implement robust pricing strategies and price book creation to drive profitability and align with the company's long-term goals.
  • Leverage market insights and business objectives to ensure pricing policies support revenue growth and competitive positioning.
  • Establish a pricing governance process and collaborate cross functionally to guide deals through this newly created process.
  • Design Systems and Processes in Partnership with Systems Technology Team:
  • Work collaboratively with IT/Systems leaders to design systems and processes to systemically gather required information and administrate required approvals.
  • Establish data ownership frameworks to ensure clear data accountability within the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, sales, and technology to understand product strategies, establish key success metrics, and enforce pricing policies. Act as a liaison to ensure pricing decisions are well-informed and strategically sound. Partner closely with product management and product marketing to understand product strategy, product roadmap and help inform GTM pricing & packaging options.
  • Pricing Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Continuously monitor price realization and competitiveness in the market. Establish and implement a framework for measuring pricing execution and monthly discount metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and adjustment. Analyze sales and customer data to find patterns in win/loss data.
  • Sales Support & Price Analysis: Evaluate price change requests from the sales team, considering margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor pricing strategies. Provide actionable recommendations that balance profitability with market competitiveness. Manage and facilitate the day-to-day financial review, analysis, and approval process for large opportunities.
  • Promotional Campaigns & Optimization: Collaborate in the creation of promotional campaigns, ensuring pricing aligns with overall marketing and financial objectives. Conduct pricing optimization and cost-benefit analysis to maximize ROI.
  • Market Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends by continuously tracking competitor pricing, customer willingness to pay and market dynamics. Use this intelligence to inform pricing strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus

Experience:

  • 6+ years' experience in price management, with a proven track record of successfully implementing pricing strategies and managing pricing processes
  • Experience in building out price books from scratch and building out approval processes/matrices from the ground up is highly desirable
  • Experience in pricing for hardware, software, and professional services revenue streams
  • Experience in SKU rationalization and cost allocation processes would also be beneficial
  • Deep understanding of pricing strategies and concepts, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable pricing decisions
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle large datasets
  • Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel skills

  • In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, customer willingness to pay and competitor pricing strategies, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions

The starting salary is anticipated between $105,000 and $120,000 to start and will be commensurate with experience.
