Job description

Our client has an immediate need for a Site Operations Systems Manager.

The Site Operations Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational systems at the Atlanta facility. This managerial role requires a deep understanding of operational systems, policies, and procedures, and the ability to implement and improve them effectively. The manager leads a team of skilled and non-skilled professionals with a focus on safety and consistent execution of company-wide processes. They are also responsible for ensuring that site and team operations meet industry and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate with the Head of Production, Head of Warehouse, and Head of Outbound to optimize operations.

Manage waving operations, including load optimization from ticket allocation to printing of pick tickets.

Develop and maintain KPI tools and tracking for capacity and volume.

Optimize building operations through slotting and task management.

Collaborate with Central Systems Support for continuous improvement activities, system rollouts, testing, and development.

Ensure execution of business systems reports and activities.

Deploy staff based on site priorities, which may change with seasonal work.

Prioritize systematic operations tasks at the site.

Provide SME knowledge for system planning.

Align site goals, processes, and activities with enterprise standards.

Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and share learnings with peers at other sites.

Lead the implementation of new automation interfacing with systems.

Full ownership of execution and identifying improvement opportunities of the WMS, WES, and other supporting warehouse systems.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Communication, Management, or a related field preferred.

Ten years of experience in facilities/warehousing required.

Five years of managerial experience in a facility/warehouse environment required.

Experience in wave planning and optimization strongly preferred.

Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of operational systems.

Excellent people management and communication skills.

Experience in an automated warehouse environment required.

Experience with ERP and WMS systems required.

Experience with WES (Warehouse Execution System) highly preferred.

Familiarity with Oracle, Logfire (Oracle WMS Cloud), SAP, and/or New Dawn (WES) is a plus.

Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
