Job description

Position Overview:

The Supply Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of finished goods to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels. The role involves analyzing demand forecasts, maintaining accurate master data, and supporting weeks-of-supply inventory targets at distribution centers. The analyst leverages tools such as SAP to facilitate accurate planning and inventory management while driving continuous improvements in supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Order Management:

  • Generate, review, and manage purchase orders to ensure the timely delivery of finished goods, adhering to Client standards.

  • Collaborate with co-manufacturers through various channels (email, EDI) to resolve discrepancies and expedite orders to prevent stockouts.

  • Regularly review open purchase orders to ensure alignment with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and supplier or production needs.

    Inventory Management:

  • Utilize statistical models to set minimum, maximum, and reorder points, optimizing inventory levels to balance availability and carrying costs.

  • Monitor finished goods inventory to avoid overstock or stockouts and ensure optimal stock rotation.

  • Perform regular reviews of 'age of stock' to mitigate risks from slow-moving inventory, ensuring timely disposition or liquidation when necessary.

    Master Data & MRP Management:

  • Maintain and update planning-related master data within SAP to ensure accurate material requirement planning (MRP).

  • Identify and correct discrepancies in master data that may cause inefficiencies or inaccuracies in supply planning.

    4. Demand Forecasting & Data Analysis:

  • Analyze historical data and apply forecasting tools to assist in production scheduling and ensure the availability of materials.

  • Evaluate upstream supply chain processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, or a related field is preferred.

    Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in supply planning, purchasing, or manufacturing operations.

  • Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (with a focus on Excel).

  • Experience working with MRP systems and a data-driven approach to supply chain planning.

  • Master Data Management: In-depth knowledge of master data s critical role in the MRP process, with the ability to maintain and optimize data for better outcomes.

  • Information Systems: Proficient in using SAP, Excel, and other data analysis tools, with the ability to propose and support system enhancements for better efficiency.

    This position is pivotal to optimizing supply chain operations at Client. The Supply Planning Analyst ensures timely material availability, reduces the risk of stockouts or excess inventory, and plays a key role in advancing the continuous improvement of the overall supply chain.
