Job description
Overview Part-Time DNI Investments is currently seeking a talented and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team and lead a Cloud Adoption Team. This team will play a crucial role in assisting programs in modernizing their public health systems through cloud adoption, providing technical assistance, infrastructure coordination, and governance facilitation services. Position Overview: As a Technical Project Manager for the Cloud Adoption Team, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering cloud adoption planning and technical assistance to programs. You will collaborate with program teams, enterprise cloud teams, and stakeholders to develop migration approaches, solution architecture designs, and ensure the efficient provision of cloud resources. Your technical expertise, project management skills, and ability to facilitate cloud governance will be essential in enabling the successful modernization of public health systems. Responsibilities Cloud Adoption Planning and Architecture Consultation: Provide guidance and enterprise architecture consultation to programs aiming to modernize their public health systems. Assist in developing migration approaches, such as identifying different hosting environments, new platforms, or complete redesigns. Develop solution architecture designs and identify suitable cloud resources and shared services available from the CDC Enterprise Cloud Team. Streamlining Cloud Resource Requests and Coordination: Streamline program requests for cloud resources in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) from the CDC Enterprise Cloud Team and CDC's Enterprise Data Analytics and Visualization (EDAV) Platform. Coordinate with the CDC Enterprise Cloud Team to ensure efficient provisioning of cloud resources for program use. Provide operations support to onboarded programs, ensuring the availability and performance of cloud resources as per service level agreements (SLAs). Cloud Resources Governance and Management: Support the Office of Informatics (OI) in Office of the Director (OD) in overall cloud resources governance, planning, and management. Assist in developing cloud governance strategies, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with cloud security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Project Management and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, program teams, and enterprise cloud teams to ensure successful project execution. Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (8-10 years) as a Technical Project Manager, specifically in cloud adoption projects. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, platforms, and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services). Experience in enterprise architecture and solution design. Familiarity with cloud governance frameworks and best practices. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus. Experience: Cloud Project Management: 5 years (Required) Azure: 5 years (Preferred) License/Certification: PMP (Preferred) Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
