Job description
Chitra is looking for an Instructor/Writer for the 170A Warrant Officer Basic Course (WOBC) (Programming and Scripting) to support the Army Cyber School at Fort Eisenhower, GA. Position Requirements: Top Secret Clearance / SCI Eligibility
Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence, reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records, survey results, reference library of training catalogs, regulations and other miscellaneous publications; establishing and maintaining office functional files and reference files; knowledge management applications e.g., SharePoint and Blackboard.
Graduated and have current (within last five years) TRADOC Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Foundation Instructor Facilitator's Course (FIFC), or Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC); Faculty Development Program-1 (FDP-1) (as required); and Installation Staff Contractor Training Course (ISCTC) or equivalent (i.e., Cadre Training Course (CTC) or Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC .
Possess pedagogical/andragogical content knowledge, defined as the ability to recognize student mistakes, why they may have made those mistakes, and how to get students back on track from where they are.
Able to diagnose underlying student misconceptions and misunderstandings from the mistakes they make and then help them correct those misconceptions and misunderstandings instead of merely addressing the mistakes themselves.
Possess advanced presentation speaking skills (e.g., tailoring content and delivery for different audiences, presenting confidently to large or small groups, and using more creative approaches to presenting).
Technical Instructor certification or designation (e.g., CTT+, teaching certificate, certified professional instructor, master training specialist, or adjunct faculty certification) OR (2) years of experience teaching technical content in formal classroom setting. Experience is defined as experience in teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military institution, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a training program; development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering; OR Basic or higher (i.e., Senior, Master) Certification as a Cyberspace Capabilities Developer (CCD). OR Three (3) or more years of experience in EACH of the following languages - Python, PowerShell, Bash, and C programming and scripting, AND Three (3) or more years of experience and knowledge in operating system concepts such as processes, threads, context switching, user mode/kernel mode, synchronization, IO, CPU Scheduling and their associated algorithms, memory management, and file systems. An active contributor to an open-source kernel or someone providing these services who has written software that interacts with the Windows kernel would likely have this level of skill, AND Three (3) or more years of experience with enumerating Windows hosts with Group Policy Objects, Windows Registry, Windows Events (EVTX), Windows Sys Internals Tools, and automating with Sysmon, AND must be capable of taking an RFC for any protocol and creating a compliant implementation in C or Python, AND must understand networking from both the theoretical and practical viewpoints across all layers of the OSI and TCP/IP models, AND experience using both Atlassian and Gitlab for development and version control. AND At least one (1) year of experience, within the last five (5) years, instructing full-length instructional and/or training material in courses related to programming/scripting is strongly preferred.
