About Us Join our Team at the College of Coastal Georgia! Located on the southeast Atlantic coast in Brunswick, midway between Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida, the College of Coastal Georgia is an undergraduate college in the University System of Georgia with an additional outreach through the Camden Center in Kingsland, Georgia. Location Our campus is located at One College Drive Brunswick, GA 31520. Department Information Athletics - Administration Job Summary This is a temporary, part-time, on-call position to support Intercollegiate Athletics. The number of hours per month will vary according to the needs of the department. Employee must be flexible to accommodate the hours required by the department for team travel. Responsibilities Ensure that bus is in good working condition (pre-trip); Provide safe, timely and reliable transportation; Respond appropriately to the instructions/wishes of the team's head coach or the College employee designated as trip supervisor; Refuel bus at conclusion of trip and ensure that keys and gas card are returned to Plant Ops; Be watchful for warning signs of any mechanical problems; immediately report all mechanical/maintenance issues to Plant Ops and/or Assistant Director of Athletics; Follow traffic regulations; Ensure that required paperwork is completed before/during/after each trip, including miles driven and hours worked. Should trip require an overnight stay, hotel time is not paid. Hotel and meal charges are paid by the College; Maintain a neat and tidy vehicle by performing light cleaning and monitoring for trash; Perform related work as required. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High school degree or equivalent Other Required Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review Valid United States Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger (P) endorsement Current DOT physical If offer of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug test and is subject to random drug testing Must be able to successfully pass a Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse full query and annual limited queries Required Experience At least 10 years' experience driving a vehicle Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES Ability to drive large, multi-passenger vehicle Ability to use discretion, maintain confidentiality and ethical conduct Ability to work independently Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to operate equipment in legal, safe manner KNOWLEDGE Traffic rules and regulations SKILLS Must be able to safely drive a large, multi-passenger vehicle Skill in oral and written communication Contact Information For more information or questions about a job posting, please contact the Department of Human Recourses at 279.5740, or by email at .
