Position Overview: We're hiring a Server and Systems Team Lead to work with our team at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center located in Glynco, GA near Brunswick. In this position you'll become part of a technically diverse team to include but not limited to Help Desk Specialists, Network Engineers, System Administrators, and Database Professionals. Together this team provides IT Operations and Support to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) which is responsible for training Law Enforcement Professionals from over 90 different agencies. Position Responsibilities: Servers and Systems Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, documentation and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Provide support for File and Print Servers
Server health checks
Server monitoring and reporting
Recover and restore data
Install operating system patches, upgrades, restores, etc.
Install application Software patches and releases as needed
Complete backups and data retention of servers and systems
Provide after-hours cell phone and on-call support to respond to server outages
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, documentation and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization

Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
Requirements
Minimum of five years' experience with both Windows and Linux System Administration
Experienced with of virtualization tools such as VMWare or equivalent
Extensive understanding of HPE and Dell server configuration and hardware and firmware updates vSAN management experience
Experienced with Azure
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
PowerShell Scripting Experience
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
Experience with securing OS and applications with STIG requirements Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: Knowledge of Dell blade server hardware and firmware updates
Experience with Cisco MDS Fiber Channel programming, zoning and firmware updates
Experience with vSphere installation, configuration, and updates
Experience with VMWare and Cloud
Knowledge of Virtual appliance deployments, server template creation, and server deployments
Understanding of Dell hardware management
Familiarity with Veeam One virtual infrastructure monitoring
Knowledge of OS network routing
Experience in Application support
IIS support and hardening
Prefer candidates with one of the following Certifications: MCSE, VCP, Linux +, RHCSA or another related certificate
