Job description

Duties Serving as a Training Registration Specialist GS-0301-9 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located within the Training Resources Analysis and Allocations Branch (TRAAB), Training Resources Coordination Division (TRC), Training Management Operations Directorate (TMO), Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations (TOPS), Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), Glynco, Georgia. The primary purpose of this position is to support of the TRC Training Administrator (Registration) in the management of the agency training projections, allocations and registration for all Center Basic and Center Advanced Programs on the FLETC enterprise ensuring all classes run at optimal capacity. Typical duties include: Providing administrative assistance to the Training Administrator (Registration) support of the Training Administrator (Registration) in the management of the agency training projections, allocations, and registration for all Center Basic and Center Advanced Programs on the FLETC enterprise ensuring all classes run at optimal capacity. Making recommendations to the appropriate Training Delivery Point and Training Management Division Chief any additional training programs to fill a backlog of agency training requests. Enforcing the regulatory report date requirements for pre-registration rosters and notifying agencies when FLETC registration policy has been violated for past due rosters and ensuring all agencies are aware of and comply with the pre-registration procedures. Using the Student Administration Scheduling System (SASS) in order to obtain class registration information. Ensuring that contractual agreements with Educational Aid contractors are not violated due to missed deadlines or insufficient information and providing assistance with verifying monthly bills for accuracy and completeness. The first point of contact for on-center and off-center agency representatives and training officers who require training from the FLETC to meet their organizational law enforcement training needs. Specialized Experience: You qualify at the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in Federal service, that demonstrates the ability to perform a variety of administrative/technical functions related to an organization's education or training registration process;OR A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related OR A combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience as described above that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. NOTE: Only graduate education in excess of the first year may be used to qualify for the GS-09 level.
