Big Picture:
Responsible for the assembly of a growing part of our business in special regulators. Our assemblers maintain quality at the highest standard and safety of assembled products by performing quality tests according to prints, special test specifications, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) procedures. Organizes and maintains assembly cell inventory. Position necessitates a high regard for ISO requirements.
Day to Day:
Performs Assembly Operations
Obtains correct print and test specifications. Completes needed documentation. Stages all needed materials as specified by Bill of Material (BOM). Assembles special regulators according to documentation and performs quality tests at each assembly stage per special test specifications and GMP procedures. Date stamps each body, and taps them with employee identification code. Boxes or trays assembled regulators per BOM.
Follows Safety Regulations
Works safely and supports safety within their team across the organization - as required.
Participates in safety training and demonstrates a high regard for safety at all times.
Wears Personal Protective Equipment as required by safety regulations.
Maintains Quality
Performs quality checks at each stage of assembly according to test specifications to assure products are assembled to standard. Follows all GMP requirements.
Supports Department and Company Initiatives
Works on cost saving projects, Six Sigma projects, and provides support for other team members and projects.
Attends team meetings. Utilizes lean tools and techniques such as 6S and visual factory concepts in maintaining order and cleanliness.
Performs additional tasks to support production as needed or directed by supervisor or management.
Education and/or Experience
Required - 2 or more years of related work experience and High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer knowledge.
Preferred - Experience in manufacturing and assembly.
