Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the cost accounting function, including labor and overhead cost distribution, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
4. Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
5. Work closely with the manufacturing team to understand and manage product costing, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting on costs associated with manufacturing processes.
6. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
7. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and laws.
8. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls evaluations.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
3. Proven experience in managing labor costs, manufacturing costs, and financial reporting.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
5. Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage a team.
6. Strong analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with accounting software.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
10. Proven ability to drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
