Valiant Integrated Services is looking for an experienced, highly skilled Sim Technician II to join our professional team at Fort Moore (Benning), GA, providing support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP). ATMP brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the world's best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) training support. ATMP operations support the installation and training mission to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military for success on the 21st Century Battlefield. Primary Task Order: 13 Primary System: CCTT Secondary System(s): M3 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (CFV); Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle (BFST); Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT); High Mobility, Multipurpose, Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV); Bradley Conduct OF Fire Trainers (COFT); Advanced Gunnery Training Systems (AGTS); Abrams, Bradley, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) and Stryker Maintenance Training Systems (MTS); Common Driver Trainer (CDT) platform; Family of Egress Trainers; Construction Equipment Virtual Trainers (CEVT); DRTS Essential Job Duties: Includes, but not limited to: • Provides maintenance support to the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT), Mobile CCTT, Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS) and/or Reconfigurable Vehicle Tactical Trainer (RVTT). • Maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids). • Receives direction and applies basic and some technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and repairing equipment to its normal operation. • Restores equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode. • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as necessary. • Perform electrical/mechanical adjustment, remove and replace failed components, and make repairs on equipment. • Document all maintenance actions by inputting data in MIS. • May be required to support other devices and will be cross-trained, as needed. Mental/Physical Requirements: • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate. • Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height. • Must be willing to work a flexible workweek. • Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain post driving privileges. • Must be able to pass a Pre-employment drug screening and background investigation. • Must possess an active Secret security clearance. • This position may require travel to other installations and other ATMP locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Minimum Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Other Abilities): • Preferred: 2 year Associate Degree in electronics or related technical field (BS Degree desirable/Experience Equivalent to Degree) with 2 years of recent electrical/electronic industrial work experience; Minimum 4 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components. • May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience).
