Job Description

As a Shift Lead, will be responsible for serving as a functional subject matter expert and peer leader to assigned areas on the production floor. The Shift Lead I should display functional knowledge of forklift operations, pallet repair, or sort operations. This employee supports the Operations Supervisor (s) in ensuring teams deliver superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, service, quality, and cost. Specific responsibilities include assists with directing the work of forklift, sort, and designated repair table (s).

Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a plant leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated internally and/or externally the ability to lead
- Strong customer service skills
- The ability to build consensus amongst a team.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to drive safety and create a safety-conscious work environment
- Ability to position pallets and various items weighing up to 78 lbs occasionally, less than 33% of the work shift.
Duties:
- Provide hands-on peer leadership as a Shift Lead I within an assigned functional area, providing direction when needed and troubleshooting.
- Supports production activities as needed, in between shifts or breaks.
- Support plant administration and leadership to ensure compliance and enforcement of established policies and procedures to help drive inventory accuracy.
- Serves as subject matter expert for designated areas such as forklift operations, sort, or repair lines.
- Responsible for assigned production role duties.
- Work autonomously with oversight from the Operations Supervisor for shift decision-making.
