Job description

Overview:
Our Federal Services Group is seeking a Project Analyst/Project Management Administrator. This dynamic role supports our project management leaders in the energy industry. Strong candidates have a background in federal projects, analytics, and cost controls.

This position can be located in our Aiken, SC, Dallas, TX, Fort Worth, TX, Kennesaw, GA, Kennewick, WA, Naperville, IL, Overland Park, KS office locations.

ENERCON serves several markets throughout the energy sector, including data centers, mission critical facilities, the federal government, industrial, nuclear power, power delivery, grid infrastructure, power generation, and renewable energy.

Responsibilities:
Accumulate and compile accurate cost data to prepare the project budgets, prepare project Estimate-to-Completes (ETC), Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

Coordinate with Project Managers in development of Project Work Plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), WBS dictionary definitions, and earned value methods & techniques

Review and understand contract language, cost estimates, and proposals to initiate projects in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system including initial project setup, task setup, billing setup, billing rates, etc. in compliance with client and ENERCON policies and procedures; establishing project baseline budgets and allocations to authorized contract funding

Examine a variety of recording and reporting documents and summaries to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government, or professional accounting requirements

Maintain the established ERP program, prepare applicable reports, and reconcile financial data with other records on file, while identifying inconsistencies, deviations from policies, and errors to assist in performance of appropriate corrective actions

Conduct bi-monthly prebill reviews to ensure accuracy in all labor and expense charges; identify discrepancies and seek resolution

Perform invoice reviews to ensure accurate billing prior to client submittal

Support processing of contracts/amendments/purchase orders

Monitor project status and financial health using Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as revenue and profit margin to aid the Project Manager in managing projects, and in producing deliverables and services that meet schedule, budget, and quality

Foster and maintain working relations with Project Managers, and other essential stakeholders (i.e., Accounting, Project Controls, Manager of Projects, Division Directors, PMA-Supervisor, Engineering and Technical staff)

Distribute hours and people assignments in the project management and accounting system

Reconcile actual charges to budgets to ensure revenue and financial posting accuracy

Coordinate quality assurance project training and client required training

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related industry

Minimum 2 years of experience in business or project analytics and project controls

Federal experience with Department of Energy and/or Department of Defense projects is required

Demonstrated business/financial aptitude

Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities

Excellent organization and time management skills, very detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task

Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, judgment and always be professional due to the confidential nature of the project work

Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions and follow tasks to completion with minimal direction

Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel (including tables/charts/formulas) and Word (including formatting)

Excellent communicator with the ability to work and communicate across all levels of an organization

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to travel between 5-10% of the time
