Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) Support Operations This position requires an active Secret clearance. The Ammunition Handling technician shall provide Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) Support to the Strategic Weapons Facility-ATLANTIC (SWFLANT) Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA&E), and the Marine Corps Security Force Battalion's (MCSFBn) Ammunition Chief Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) Support Operations: Negotiable Pay commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) Support Operations Responsibilities Include: Process and receive Ammunitions and Explosives (A&E) as required to meet MCSFBn training and security requirements. Track A&E condition, coordinate request and return of unserviceable A&E when required. Store and secure A&E in Government provided designated magazines and segregate materials based on its Class/Division Explosive designation. Inspect incoming material and ammunition and verify to ensure container markings, tags, labels, etc., all agree with receipt documentation, condition, quantity, and description. Assist and support all inventories required by Government employees (Military or Civilian) of both SWFLANT and MCSFBn. Issue A&E to Government authorized personnel for scheduled training exercises and/or during the performance of unscheduled security operations. Provide support to the A&E resources for MCSFBn in meeting the requirements for packaging, repackaging, banding, loading, and bracing of small arms ammunition and explosives for on or off base weapons and explosive firing ranges located in the states of Florida and Georgia. Provide ammunition transport for MCSFBn training at base firing ranges Florida and Georgia Performs other job-related duties as assigned Ammunition and Explosives (A&E) Support Operations Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: High School Diploma of GED Equivalent 2 years' experience of ammunition handling and transportation Valid and current US Driver's License Candidates must be US Citizens Candidates must have an active and current Secret clearance at the time of their application Ability to be successfully screened and retained in the MCSFBN AA&E Program Ability to qualify and certify in the MCSFBn Qualification/Certification Program Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with hazardous material endorsement for the purpose of transporting ammunition and explosives. Ability to obtain and maintain material handling equipment (forklift) license. Ability to complete medical certification for the above requirements. Candidates will be subject to a US Federal government background investigation and must favorably pass a drug test.
