Summary You will serve as a TEMPORARY SVC SHOP SUPERVISOR I in the Temporary Services Shop (25D), Miscellaneous Services Branch (TRF-342), Waterfront Services Division (TRF-340), Repair Department (TRF-300) TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC), Kings Bay, GA. Duties You will be responsible for providing a variety of general and special services in support of TRIFFAC refit operations and facilities. You will be responsible for management and technical direction of shop direction. You will be responsible for production planning, implementation functions (i.e. planning, work, direction, and administration and management) required to support steady state operations. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including performing work procedures in at least one of the industrial shops as Pipefitter or Electrician.
Experience providing technical direction over work efforts of subordinates to ensure efficient and effective accomplishment of shop operations.
Experience assigning and explaining work or tasks to be performed by subordinates.
Experience possessing extensive knowledge of such diverse trade as electrical, pipefitting, machining, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics etc.
Experience demonstrating considerable experience in the organization, management, direction, and coordination of activities concerned with scheduling and performing industrial facility functions.
Experience using knowledge of procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives to ensure subordinates are completing maintenance and repairs efficiently and correctly.

Incumbent must possess extensive knowledge of such diverse trade as electrical, pipefitting, machining, refrigeration, and air conditioning mechanics, etc. and the ability to direct others in performance of work associated with such trades. Work aboard ships and submarines and within shops may require periods of standing, vertical climbing, stooping, and moving in and out of areas of close confinement. Will be required to take physical examinations in accordance with mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Requirements. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
