Job Title: Project Manager (PMP Certified) - Child Support Services

Location: Atlanta, GA (Must be able to attend meetings as required)

Duration: 1 Year (with an option to extend to 4 years)

Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a PMP certification and a proven track record in managing projects within child support services, including but not limited to the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Office of Child Support Services (OCSS), or Family Support Services (FFS). The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the implementation of a new software system for child support services for our client. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a large-scale project aimed at improving efficiency and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all aspects of the software implementation project, ensuring it stays on scope, on budget, and on time.

Collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, including client teams, third-party vendors, and internal resources, to ensure smooth execution of project deliverables.

Act as the primary point of contact for project communications, status updates, and risk mitigation strategies.

Develop, manage, and monitor project plans, schedules, resources, and risks, ensuring alignment with client objectives and contractual obligations.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and project success.

Manage vendor relationships, ensuring they meet contractual deliverables and project timelines.

Develop detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders, providing clear insights into project progress and any necessary adjustments.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures specific to DFCS, OCSS, and FFS operations.

Conduct regular status meetings, document project progress, and adjust plans as needed to accommodate project challenges or scope changes.

Facilitate post-implementation reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

PMP Certification required.

Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in DFCS, OCSS, FFS, or related child support services environments.

Proven experience in managing software implementation projects, preferably within government or public sector child support services.

Strong understanding of the specific challenges and operational needs of child support services.

Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

Ability to drive projects to completion while managing risks and adjusting timelines when necessary.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with government contracts and public sector project management.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance specific to child support services.

Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
