Job description

Teksouth is currently seeking a skilled .NET Developer to join our team, focusing on the development and enhancement of government software systems. Location Requirements: Candidates must reside in or near one of the following locations:
• Huntsville, AL
• Birmingham, AL
• Atlanta, GA
• Macon, GA
• Warner Robins, GA Security Clearance Requirement:
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are mandatory.
• Public Trust or NACI Tier 1 clearances are not sufficient for this role. Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and assess the current systems.
• Propose and implement improvements.
• Produce detailed technical design documentation and level-of-effort estimates.
• Develop new software systems.
• Modernize and maintain existing systems.
• Test new systems and modifications to existing ones.
• Create developer documentation.
• Collaborate with Database Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Quality Assurance, and Documentation teams. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with an Active Secret Security Clearance due to the nature of the contract.
• Security+ certification is required
• A minimum of 8 years of software development experience, with a strong emphasis on C# and .NET Core.
• At least 3 years of experience with SQL and MS SQL Server (Entity Framework experience alone is not sufficient).
• Experience in full-stack web application development (client and server-side).
• Proficiency in ASP.NET Core, including services, dependency injection, and middleware.
• At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks, with a preference for React or VueJS.
• Strong understanding of client-side development, including JS execution models, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of web application security, including common attack vectors and defensive programming techniques.
• Experience maintaining and supporting legacy software with outdated or incomplete documentation.
