Job Title: Facilities Coordinator
Location(s): Macon, GA
Description:
Role Summary:
Budgets and operates leased or owned structures, other technical sites and office facilities.
May be responsible for leasing, maintenance, building security, energy conservation, reception and mailroom operations, office equipment and furnishing procurement.
May oversee new facility planning, acquisition and build-out.
Assures compliance with all local, state, federal and OSHA facilities related regulations.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Maintains inventory of supplies and parts including purchases of small tools and equipment.
Performs - basic electrical work, preventative maintenance of HVAC, basic plumbing, office furniture repairs/cleaning, office relocations, furniture tear-down/reconstruction, basic carpentry work, light bulb replacements, mounting bulletin boards, white boards, TV's, pictures etc. and conducts routine inspection of such items.
Operates and adjusts Building Management Systems (Client) for seasonal and local comfort.
Plans reconfigurations and relocates furniture and office equipment, as well as set up and take down of furniture/audio visual equipment for meetings and special events in house or at remote locations as required by event planning.
Contacts vendors/contractors to solicit cost estimates, references, etc. Will review invoices, audit for accuracy and process for payment.
Responds to emergency calls, evaluating damages and takes necessary steps to protect customers, employees and property. When directed, may assume lead role in emergency response.
Observe report and/or remediate safety matters.
May perform some minor landscape repairs or adjustments and property clean-up services. (minor trash, cigarette butt clean up, remove small broken branches, etc )
May provide security assistance as needed.
May perform basic janitorial duties throughout the facilities.
May occasionally be responsible for shipping, receiving, and mail delivery.
May conduct meetings and assist with special event support and planning with respect to facility-related matters.
Will perform ergonomic modifications to furniture/equipment.
Assumes lead role in facilities maintenance and operations.
Reviews UET work request queue daily. Take action on tickets as directed and or needed to meet SLA
Performs special projects such as office modifications, furniture tear-down/reconstruction, door repairs, light bulb replacements, mounting bulletin boards, white boards, TV's, pictures etc.
Performs quarterly building inspection of all market buildings to include: Administration, Retail, Technical and Warehouse; enters data on checklist and worksheet. Solicits repair proposals as needed, notifies manager of repairs exceeding approval threshold.
Will work with leaders and contractors to develop project budget and scope as needed or directed
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum
HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
2 or more years of experience required in related field (facilities operations).
Requires functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
Ability to effectively plan and structure daily activities; able to accept direction and execute instructions.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work safely with basic hand and power tools.
Valid State-Issued driver's license and an acceptable driving record in home market.
Good communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Must possess forklift operator's certificate.
Demonstrated knowledge of building system terms and technology.
Preferred:
AS/AA or Technical Certification in related discipline desired.
Prefer certification in operating lifting equipment.
Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
Experience operating commercial chillers, cooling towers, boilers, VFD drives & pumps.
Experience operating automated Building Management Systems to include Central Plant, HVAC controls and automated lighting systems.
Environment and Working Conditions:
Works in office and outdoor environments, exposure to inclement weather.
Travel to remote offices involves exposure to traffic situations including emergency responses both day and night.
Repeated bending, lifting, reaching, sitting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, navigating stairs, standing and carrying parts, tools and supplies up to 80 pounds
May require occasional use of ladder or stepstool, furniture dolly, hydraulic lift gate, tie-down straps

Meet service ticket SLA 98% of the time.
Confidential and Sensitive Information.
May encounter customer PII (Personal Identifying Information) in performance of duties.
Safeguards all proprietary information and materials to assure departmental, company and vendor security. Access to sensitive information may occur in the act of performing job duties. This information is to be kept in strictest confidence.
Tools and Equipment:
Company vehicle, smart phone; desktop or laptop computer, building keys, hand tools, small power tools, wrenches, hand truck, dollies, material carts.
Safeguards equipment and material inventory.
Financial Accountability:
Solicits proposals for maintenance repairs, may verify and sign vendor work order when work is complete.
