Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time) - New Gard's Welcome - Norcross, GA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Pain Management team. The ideal candidate will provide expert care to patients dealing with chronic pain, helping to develop and implement individualized pain management plans.

Shifts / Hours: Part time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialization: Pain Management, small/large joint procedures
  • Primary responsibilities: patient care-pain management, including working with Medical Assistant; patient physical examination, counselling regarding prescription medication for pain, steroid injections using Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy (will teach techniques)
  • Conduct comprehensive pain assessments, including physical exams and medical histories.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
  • Educate patients and families on pain management strategies and medication usage.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other specialists to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Perform follow-up evaluations and make necessary adjustments to pain management regimens.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Stay current with pain management best practices and emerging treatments.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Georgia.
  • New graduates welcomed (and eager to learn)
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pain management, primary care, or a related specialty.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty.
  • Experience with advanced pain management procedures (e.g., trigger point injections, and nerve blocks).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
