Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Inside Sales will be the enterprise leader of the Inside Sales function, a new function for SiteOne focused on driving loyalty, retention, and sales growth with customers who may have been previously underserved in the market. The Inside Sales function is a key initiative for SiteOne, as customer growth is a critical priority overall. The Senior Manager of Inside Sales is responsible for all activities including customer strategies, call process design, caller scripts and resources, technology and automation, metrics and reporting, training and onboarding, and team communication. This leader is responsible for achieving operational and financial targets by supporting approximately 30 Inside Sales Managers across 9 operating regions (dotted line reporting structure) with strategies, supporting data, guidance and training.
What You'll Do:
Strategy: Develop and execute customer and sales strategies for Inside Sales to win-back declining customers, identify customer growth opportunities, and qualify new customer leads.
Innovation: Develop a strategy and execute a roadmap to advance into a best-in-class Inside Sales organization in wholesale distribution.
Results: Achieve operational and financial goals of the Inside Sales organization weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Culture: Foster and continually develop an environment of teamwork and growth that provides extraordinary service for our customers and support for our sales and operations associates, while motivating associates to continuously improve and achieve superior results.
Operations: Support Inside Sales' operational success by developing and regularly updating caller scripts, speaking points, email templates, and other resources such as marketing collateral and promotional offers.
Process / Technology: Document, analyze, and optimize the call process. Work with the internal Salesforce team to build experiences and workflows into Salesforce CRM to support these processes.
Communication: Develop communication methods and calendars for driving awareness and alignment across callers, managers, and executives.
Reporting / Measurement: Work with Analytics team to design and build clear and accurate reporting to track operational and financial progress against goals.
Training / Development: Build and utilize caller training materials, including new caller onboarding and ongoing selling skills, to develop a highly skilled and successful team.
Collaboration: Partner with a team of approximately 30 Inside Sales Managers across 9 regions to ensure consistent execution and communication across teams.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement across all aspects of Inside Sales. Collect and disseminate critical customer feedback to field support functions to enable optimization across Marketing, IT, Customer Experience and Operations.
Skills We Are Seeking
Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Business, Analytics, and/or Finance preferred.
5+ years of combined experience in Sales Management, Sales Operations, Process Improvement, and/or Strategy Consulting.
3-5+ years managing a Sales team strongly preferred; proven track-record of exceeding sales goals.
Experience in B2B businesses; landscape, distribution and/or home improvement preferred.
Candidate must be strong across a variety of skills including sales strategy, communication (both written and verbal), process mapping / process improvement, data interpretation, and team leadership.
Candidate must be results-oriented and able to influence stakeholders using data and structured-thinking to show how to achieve those results.
Role will function as a player/coach by developing work-product individually and collaborating to leverage resources throughout the company.
Skilled with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce CRM strongly preferred.
