Pay Information

$28.36/hr.



Job Purpose

Manage Production area resources (manpower, tools, PPE, budget, training coordination, etc) through effective planning and verification in support of the best company solutions, while understanding and analyzing the requirements of new model, business plan, and/or innovation to achieve or exceed Safety, Environment, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale (SEQDCM) and promote associate success.



Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor daily manpower status (availability and training) and develop workload activity management/training plans to ensure effective process rotation.
  • Maintain and communicate daily operations (SEQCDM); go to the spot (genba) to understand situation, direct action (PPA, containment, repair, etc.) and/or identify improvement opportunities to ensure continuous PDCA
  • Communicate department guidelines/policies/procedures consistently to ensure associate expectations are clearly understood.
  • Manage non-conforming product containment/repair and reporting to prevent outflow to the customer.
  • Conduct assigned product and a verification check and apply appropriate action to ensure compliance.
  • Establish and execute team readiness for new technologies/new model introductions to validate future process and area capability.
  • Manage required organizational resources (manpower, structure, budget) necessary to achieve operational expectations within area of responsibility.
  • Develop capability of self and team through training, mentoring, coaching and sharing of experiences to facilitate growth/engagement.
  • Actively participate in department initiatives such as BP, FSI, Mono-Z to gain or share knowledge, promote continuous improvement and foster engagement for area of responsibility.



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills


Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Minimum Experience:

  • 1 year of manufacturing production experience.

Other Job-Specific Skills:

  • Lead and/or participate in Audits
  • Knowledge of department systems
  • Crisis management (PPA development)
  • Understand available resources both internal to the department as well as external
  • Knowledge of process, equipment, business, and human constraints (Today and Future)
  • Nonconforming procedure - Knowledge of QMS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team



Working Conditions

  • Will require standing for long durations of time
  • Able to work in a fast pace production area
  • Able to work in an environment with varying temperatures
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • 0-10% travel requirement for training and offsite support as needed
  • Daily, weekly, weekend and holiday overtime as required (will vary)
  • Able to work varying/rotating shifts for extended periods of time as requested
  • Ability to perform production line work and work online as needed
