Job description

Position Summary

Team Members are responsible to complete the duties of their assigned work area in a safe, efficient and timely manner and to conduct themselves in a manner that is compliant with achieving the company's goals via the company's Core Values and HTGP Guidebook.

Essential Functions

Corporate:

  • Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) policies and procedures

EHS:

  • Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment

Technical:

  • Administers and monitors practices in the areas of safety, quality, and cost.
  • Establishes and maintains plan for minor daily/weekly PM in Salvage/Repair Area and Performance Test Lab.
  • Performs rapid root cause analysis of customer and test rejects, creation of defect mapping of transmission.
  • Performs and analyses data on random hydraulic/noise test on transmission per scheduled frequency.
  • Maintains Test performance information such as Top 10 issues, trending, countermeasures
  • Assist in development of standardized work instructions such as equipment operation and transmission reprocessing.
  • Works with production Team Members to expedite transmission through testing equipment, reprocessing and uptime.
  • Installs transmission to vehicle for detail analysis and countermeasure as needed.
  • Perform random hydraulic noise testing on transmission per frequency.
  • Monitors current and develops new model parameter setting strategies.
  • Interacts with others to resolve quality issues and notifies department leadership as required.
  • Implements repair/containment procedures for repetitive quality defects.
  • Performs repair, reassembly and test on manufactured parts
  • Visit customer as needed to assure no unreported issues have occurred and to check for any transmissions in need of being returned for evaluation.
  • Perform in-vehicle analysis to determine root cause of customers issue

  • 1 year Quality Job related experience recommended (Automotive Manufacturing preferred)

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and possess the basic ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Must satisfactorily complete HTGP hiring process requirements, which includes phone interview, in-person interview, medical and functional assessment, drug screen and background check.
  • Candidates must be able to work some overtime hours and occasional weekend days.
  • Candidates must be capable of working on their feet for long periods, demonstrating hand dexterity and tolerating repetitious work patterns.
