Job description

SMX is seeking a Principal Product Owner to support USINDOPACOM J6 portfolio of programs. This position is a hybrid between Camp H.M. Smith Marine Corps Base and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. This position requires a DoD TS/SCI which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Independently manage and monitor tasks as directed from the J68 and designees Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and project objectives across the full suite of J6 Innovation initiatives Oversee the development and management of Agile product backlogs to ensure associated Agile project objectives align with operational requirements Function as the primary interface between internal and external stakeholders (both Government and Industry partner) from a technical, planning and requirement definition perspective As required, attend exercise and project planning conferences to ensure Requests For Information (RFI) and Requests For Support (RFS) are captured, codified and prioritized across the relevant associated Agile Product Scrums Contribute to future state design initiatives, including but not limited to Information Domains, multi-security level and hybrid cloud enterprise solutions Provide technical input and feedback to Agile Product Owners/Scrum Masters, Systems and Integration Engineers, Program and Project Management to assist in continued maturation of Agile Lifecycle Methodologies Participate in formal and informal technical exchanges with interagency and industry partners in support of J6 Innovation initiatives Ensure system discrepancies are identified, tracked, prioritized and closed in a timely manner Coordinate with development and engineering teams to ensure efficient and effective deployment of new solutions and systems Up to 40% travel Required Skills & Experience Active TS/SCI clearance BS/BA from an accredited college or university in a Project Management, Business Administration or relevant technical/management discipline Associate's Degree and additional experience in relevant field may be substituted for a BS/BA Minimum of 5 years of Product/Systems Owner or IT management experience Self-Starter with the ability to complete tasks within required timeframes with no supervision Proficiency in the use of SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Visio Experience working as a technical liaison between senior Government and Industry partner leadership Willingness to participate in daily Agile scrums (as required by project management) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Capacity to learn new systems rapidly and adapt quickly to change Desired Skills & Experience Experience with USINDOPACOM Experience working in Agile Development Methodology Experience with DoD Communications planning practices Intra-agency or joint command experience IAT Level II/IAM Level I certification (i.e. Security+ CE) Application Deadline: October 28, 2024 The SMX salary determination process takes into account a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories, relevant prior work experience, specific skills, education and certifications.
