Job description

Certification Details
• Required certifications/registrations: BLS, HI rehab licensure in appropriate discipline.

Job Details
• The therapist evaluates, develops a care plan and independently treats patients referred to the outpatient speech therapy clinic.
• Patient care is biased towards Outpatient clinical care.
• Depending on census coverage is provided for Acute care and completions of modified barium swallow studies as per therapists skillset.

Job Requirements
• Minimum 2 years experience preferably with outpatient and Rehab hospital experience.
• Preferred skills: Acute care experience; independent and proficient in completion of Modified Barium Swallow Studies in radiology without supervision by a radiologist.

Schedule Information
• Generally set schedule 3 days/week, M-F but may include an occasional weekend or holiday dependent on staffing.

Unit Specific Information
• Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: ReDoc is utilized for computerized documentation and reference to Meditech computerized documentation is available for electronic health records.
• Outcomes assessments specific to referring diagnoses
• Floating to other units/departments: Possible floating to IP rehab department depending on census at the time and staffing.
• Dress Code: Business casual per HBMC dress code for patient care delivered in the outpatient clinic. Scrubs permissible if floating to IP Rehab.
• Training in EMR documentation provided and orientation to rehab area/expectations.
