Our work depends on a Systems Engineer Expert joining our team to help build and enable the readiness of our Nation's Army in the Pacific! HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. Coordinates system development to include design, engineer, modeling, security, integration, and execute
Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes
Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineering
Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency
Drives scalability and operability of supported systems/infrastructure
Implements, manages, and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline tools
Creates, maintains, and reviews Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Desired State Configuration (DSC) and/or Puppet configuration management tools to support the provisioning infrastructure
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a technical team or task lead
Provides advice and training to end-users
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
Strong communication and documentation skills
Flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying length
Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently and in a team setting Participates in special projects as required WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: BS/BA (in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field with concentration in computer based technology); or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training; 8+ years of experience; Military training and training support at Brigade and above highly preferred
Required Experience: Experience building BCCS stacks; Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF); Knowledge of VMWare (Skills and assessment); Understanding of DISA STIGs; WAN/LAN experience; TCP/IP troubleshooting; Advanced knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment; Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniques; Experience with virtual simulation
Required Technical Skills: Experience installing and configuring multiple software programs; Experience with HBSS administration; Experience with SQL
Security Clearance Level: SECRET clearance is required with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance
Required Skills and Abilities: Superb communication and documentation skills; strong ability to advise and educate leadership through non-technical terms; must be able to work as part of a team; be flexible and have the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
