For more information about DAWSON, please visit Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000 SUMMARY: As a Project Engineer III, you will take on increased responsibilities and play a vital role in driving construction projects to successful completion. Building upon the foundation of a Project Engineer I & II, you will demonstrate advanced skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities in managing and executing complex projects. Your role will involve to more independence in overseeing multiple aspects of project planning, implementation, and control, while also providing guidance and support to junior team members. By leveraging your expertise, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills, you will contribute to maximizing project efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently lead the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate and collaborate with project stakeholders to establish project objectives, develop comprehensive project plans, and define deliverables and milestones. Coordinate with Project Manager and conduct in-depth analysis of project requirements, identify potential risks and challenges, and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and cost efficiency. Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, assisting with problem resolution, interpretation of drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Foster strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, acting as a point of contact and addressing their concerns and requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control, identify potential safety hazards, and enforce adherence to project specifications and safety protocols. Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, change orders, and progress updates, and ensure accurate and timely submission to clients and stakeholders. Mentor and provide guidance to junior project engineers, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university. Proven experience (2 years +) in successfully managing and executing construction projects, preferably in a similar industry or field. Strong knowledge of project management principles, techniques, and best practices. Proficiency in using project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate and address project-related challenges effectively. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive working relationships. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and compliance. Strong understanding of technical engineering and construction practices, including contract management. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Frequently required to use hand and finger dexterity for typing and handling documents. Occasionally required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl. Occasionally required to lift and carry project materials or equipment. The work environment is typically an office setting or physical job site trailer.
