The Cancer Center of Hawaii is the only free-standing radiation cancer treatment center with two advanced facilities on Oahu: Liliha in Honolulu and Pali Momi in Aiea.

_We are seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our team!_

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy

Registered Radiation Therapy Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology

Hawaii State license to work as a Radiation Therapy Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

Performs accurate patient localization and radiation treatments as prescribed by the physician.

Ensures patient safety during radiation therapy treatments.

Identifies common side effects from radiation therapy treatments and alerts the nurse and/or physician.

Maintain accurate medical and statistical records.

Ensures appropriate technical charge capture.

Keeps abreast of current radiation therapy techniques and recommends changes to improve the quality of technical services.

Block Fabrication

Calypso Unit

Creates adequate patient positioning and/or immobilization as ordered by the Radiation Oncologist.

Acquires CT scans adequate for radiation therapy planning.

Assists in patient dosimetry.

Assists in coordination of neo-adjuvant treatments.

Equipment:

Computers, digital camera, Aria EMR, Varian linear accelerators, Eclipse and ADAC planning systems, On Board Imaging system, CT simulator, calculator.
