Job description

Duties You will provide information to higher-level personnel on the status and progress or work, causes of delays, and overall work operations or issues. You will plan work to be accomplished by others, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. You will resolve materials related problems to overcome production bottlenecks, repair equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other cost delays. You will review ordnance material or operations (e.g., receipt, issue, storage, handling, segregation, renovation, preservation, packing of items) for quality. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You must possess the applicable license(s) or authorization to operate assigned equipment i.e. U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operators ID cards (OF-345 and OF-346), Explosive Safety Program Individual Qualifications Card (PWC-PH-8020/1). Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Evaluating deadlines, schedules, workload requirements, and equipment availability to coordinate the distribution of work; 2) Applying one or more rigging practices and/or weight handling experience to; assemble, repair, install rigging on various objects ;3) Providing recommendations for resolution on controversial matters and/or participating in negotiations for disputes ;4) Performing all administration duties i.e. resolving personnel and work conflicts.
