We are hiring a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Database Developer to join our dynamic team. As a database administrator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining database systems and ensuring data security. In this role, you will work individually and also collaborate with system administrators and end-users to maintain databases. The ability to communicate fluently in one or more database management languages is vital for project-related analyses. This position also requires experience working with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and accreditations of operational systems. Responsibilities Installing configuring, maintaining, and monitoring the database frameworks.
Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, such as query execution times, memory usage, and disk I/O.
Ensure that organizational data is secure and only available to authorized users.
Creating and managing user accounts and roles.
Implementing access control policies.
Evaluating security management measures.
Safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring data integrity.
Resolving data conflicts and implementing data policies, procedures, and standards.
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as good communication and teamwork.
Familiarity with DoD regulations and security requirements is essential. Able to adhere to specific guidelines and protocols to ensure the security and compliance of the DoD systems. Must have hands on knowledge/experience with DISA STIGs and various scanning tools like SCAP, Evaluate STIG and ACAS.
Up to 50% CONUS / OCONUS travel may be required. Trip duration is typically 4 weeks. Education/Qualifications Active U.S. Dept. of Defense TS/SCI clearance.
6+ years of relevant database administration experience.
Must meet the minimum Dept. of Defense 8140 requirements for specialty code 421 Database Administrator: Security +, Cloud+, or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) OR
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution AND possess at least one Operating System/Computing Environment (OS/CE) certificate of training, as dictated by Command CWF-PM which includes but is not limited to:

Must have experience applying security updates based on output from DISA STIGS and/or IAVMs.
