A day in the life of a Construction Surveillance Technician: Conduct daily checks of secured and un-secured areas on the worksite. Ensure all construction personnel on the job site constantly display the required badging and have access to certain areas. Provide surveillance of construction personnel during performance at the worksite. Maintain daily security log of all workers entering/exiting the worksite Operate proposed inspection equipment. Utilize knowledge of all construction disciplines, to include civil architectural, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering principles. Read and analyze designs and blueprints and recognize the architect's intended use. You will analyze designs and structural complexities, which are intended to mask an ulterior purpose not intended by the architect. Exercise knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by hostile and friendly intelligence services for the purpose of clandestine surveillance. Write detailed reports in English and complete the analyses of issues, findings, and security situations. Maintain daily logs during their tour of duty. Job Requirements TS/SCI Clearance (Active) Capable of independent decision making, possess a high degree of individual initiative and be able to function with minimal supervision. 3-5 Years of security experience specifically related to ICD 705 (SCIF/SAPF) Construction, Intelligence Operations, Counter-Intelligence Operations, Counter-Surveillance Operations, Technical Surveillance Counter-Measures, Physical Security, or a combination of these experiences 3-5 years experience working as a CST. 3-5 years experience working as a Cleared American Guard (CAG). Ability to stand, walk for several hours while at the worksite. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential. Ability to stand for 8 hours, work outdoors in all seasons and lift up to 25 pounds Certification: Active Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) Certification preferred Site Security Managers Training or Certification desired Founded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United States. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
