Job Description Construction Surveillance Technician The Construction Surveillance Technician's primary function is to provide day to day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program (SAP) construction efforts. Performance shall include: Assesses, identifies and communications recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
Follow and enforce customers' Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative
Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets. Experience: 1 - 2 years related experience
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years. Desired Experience: Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements) Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years) Security Clearance: Must obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with CI polygraph. Work Requirements Years of Experience 3 + years of related experience may vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree Certification Travel Required 10-25% Citizenship U.S. Citizenship Required Salary and Benefit Information The likely salary range for this position is $65,663 - $88,839. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
