CV Resources is partnering with a publicly traded construction company on the search for an Accounts Payable Clerk on a direct-hire basis.

Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will manage a high volume of invoices and payments across multiple states, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with company policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process a high volume of invoices from vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies and contractual agreements.
  • Payment Management: Prepare and execute electronic payments and checks, ensuring timely and accurate payment of all outstanding invoices.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor records, manage vendor inquiries, and address payment-related issues or disputes in a professional manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, construction industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized documentation of all transactions, approvals, and correspondence related to accounts payable.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments and resolution of any issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of accounts payable experience, preferably in the construction industry or a high-volume environment.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software - JD Edwards
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail with a strong focus on data integrity and compliance.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex issues and make sound decisions.
