Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting a licensed Physical Therapist in providing high-quality patient care. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work in a fast-paced hospital setting, working with patients of all ages, including geriatric and pediatric populations. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Duties:

- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of medical conditions.

- Conduct physical therapy treatments, including but not limited to: trigger point therapy, orthopedic and health assessments, and exercises tailored to each patient's needs.

- Monitor patient progress, record observations and treatment outcomes, and maintain accurate records.

- Utilize anatomy and physiology knowledge to understand patient conditions and develop effective treatment plans.

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

- Participate in inpatient and outpatient settings, including hospital and clinic environments.

- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.

- Ability to perform trigger point therapy and orthopedic assessments.

- Experience working in a hospital setting, with a focus on patient care.

- Proficiency in occupational health assessments and treatments.

- Familiarity with geriatric and pediatric populations, with the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet their unique needs.

- Knowledge of physiology and its application to physical therapy treatments.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
