Welder/Fabricator

$23.67/hr DOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a local Nampa Idaho manufacturing company. The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to welding, metal fabrication, and assembly. The successful candidate should be proficient in various welding techniques, possess strong attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. This role requires a high level of precision, creativity, and problem-solving skills to contribute to the production of high-quality metal products.

Responsibilities:

Utilize welding equipment and tools to perform various types of welding (MIG, TIG, ARC) on a variety of metals.

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the welding requirements and fabrication processes.

Cut, shape, and assemble metal parts and structures according to project specifications.

Measure and align components using precision instruments to ensure accuracy and proper fitment.

Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.

Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure welds are strong, clean, and meet established standards.

Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide input on manufacturability and feasibility of designs.

Assist in the selection and sourcing of appropriate materials for projects.

Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

Handle routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure longevity and functionality.

Document work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered for project tracking and reporting.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in welding and fabrication preferred.

Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Strong understanding of metal properties, fabrication processes, and welding parameters.

Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with various welding and fabrication tools and equipment.

Knowledge of safety protocols and practices related to welding and metal fabrication.

Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and address welding and fabrication challenges.

Welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

6:00am till 2:30pm (may work over till 4:30pm on occasion)

Pay:

$23.67/hr DOE
