For more than 100 years, Orchard Ridge Assisted Living has cared for seniors. We are a nonprofit and one of only a few assisted living's that have been awarded the Gold Excellence of Care by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare! Our team works cooperatively together to ensure all resident needs are met.
Days/Hours of Schedule: Full Time/Year Round
Pay: $17-18.00/hr, plus $2/hr more on Saturday & Sunday
Duties for a Cook:
Cook will assist with meal preparations to include but are not limited to the following:
Cook Meals as directed by dietary supervisor
Cook will prepare salads, side dishes, soups and deserts as well as alternate lunch salad plates
Cook will clean the prep area
Cook will wash pots, pans, and dishes from Memory Care
Cook may need to assist with catered events and holiday meals
Have a good understanding of portion control
Other tasks as assigned
Must be flexible and able to step into any position
Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner

Minimum Qualifications for a Cook Must have Serv-Safe Certificate or acquire one within the first year of employment
Previous prep and line cook experience a plus but not required, WE WILL TRAIN YOU! Advanced knowledge of industrial kitchen appliances a plus Knowledge of basic diets, willing to learn when needed Ability to remain calm under stressful situations Effective and clear communications with residents, resident families and staff Must be able to pass criminal and drug background tests as required by Bureau of Licensing and corporate policies Must be able to work respectfully and compassionately with older adults
Compensation details: 17-18 Hourly Wage
