Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including hospitals and critical care units. This role requires expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, and the management of respiratory therapies. The Respiratory Therapist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy interventions.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including bronchodilators and other respiratory medications.
Monitor vital signs and evaluate patients' responses to therapy, making adjustments as necessary.
Provide emergency medicine support during critical situations, including intubation and resuscitation efforts.
Collaborate with medical staff in the PICU and other departments to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, treatment options, and home care strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, treatments administered, and responses observed.
Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in pulmonology and critical care practices.

Requirements
Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures.
Experience in a hospital setting, particularly in critical care or operating room environments.
Proficiency in performing patient assessments and interpreting vital signs.
Familiarity with pulmonology practices and respiratory therapy techniques.
Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
